Cocktail du jour: The Orange Trio 'Tini

This cocktail is summer in a glass. With the lovely scent of orange essence from the Grey Goose L'Orange (so much chicer when you add in the French accent) it's easy to pretend you're on a balcony in the South of France, surrounded by citrus trees and butlers named Jacques or Jean-Luc. Instead of bundled up against the returning polar vortex and piles of snow that just won't seem to go anywhere.

Vodka and sweet vermouth are an unusual combination, but in this case they work perfectly together. The Orange Trio 'Tini was inspired by all the Dubliners we've been drinking lately, substitute the orange vodka for the Irish whiskey and you've got something a little sunnier and lighter. You could call it a sunny Dubliner, but wouldn't that be an oxymoron?

Orange Trio 'Tini
2 oz orange vodka (Grey Goose)
1/2 oz sweet vermouth (Cocchi di Torino)
1/2 oz Grand Marnier
Dash of orange bitters

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice
Shake and strain into a martini glass
